Unit seven discusses parts of teaching a new language. The three basic parts of the lesson were teaching vocabulary, introducing grammar, and teaching language functions. When teaching vocabulary, it's important to use words that are appropriate to the student, appropriate to the task, used frequently to the learning level, and teachable. When introducing grammar, it’s important to teach the meaning, the use, the formation of sentence structure, as well as the differences in spoken and written language. Language functions include invitations, refusals, agreements, and disagreements.
