In a new teaching position a teacher will be faced with meeting a number of new classes for the first time,such classes can fall into two groups ie; new group and existing group. It is important to begin a class with a warmer, examples of warmer ideas include hangman,pictionary etc this helps gets students motivated and ready to use the language. A big problem that teachers face is a group where students are at different varying levels, teachers can tackle this by using different material,using same materials but different tasksand pairing stronger students with the weaker ones.For large classes the teacher can employ a number of techniques such as: pair work,worksheets,choral repetition,appoint group leaders etc in order to ensure the lesson is effective as large groups can be a problem. To ensure native language is avoided in the class teachers must make sure explanati.ons are clear to all class members and the activities used are at an appropriate level where students have the necessary language to cope.Some students are reluctant to participate in class,as a teacher you could use role plays,pairwork,controlled practices to encourage participate in class
