I agree that the tense system is the most difficult part, in my opinion for both teachers and students. It's difficult to explain it and for students is difficult to absorb it and to apply it. I find that many of my students struggle to start talking because of that fear that they will make mistakes when it comes to tenses.
I personally find this material here very well structured so I think these material notes will be helpful in the future.
