I am not quite sure what I've learned except that grammar is confusing for me as a native English speaker, so I feel very sorry for EFL learners trying to get all of this straight in their heads! Modals and passive voice are much easier to understand than phrasal verbs. I understand the concept of phrasal verbs, but then trying to decide if they are transitive or intransitive (separable or inseparable)... that's something completely different!
