To day we finished Unit 13 which focused on pronunciation and phonology. There are many things that we native English speakers fail to appreciate one of which being is the phonology of our own language. Growing up and being fully immersed in English it never passes our mind on how to form our mouths to produce sounds or when or when not to vocalize. With this in mind it will help you become a better English teacher by understanding that the student is trying to mimic sounds and words that are completely new to them.
