Unit 12 covers productive skills in detail. Productive skills are speaking and writing. There are several reasons people communicate with each other. First, they have a purpose. Second, they have a need to say something. Third, they want to listen. Fourth, they are interested in what is being said. In order to bring a communicative activity to a classroom, a teach should bring in one or more of the above factors into the lesson.
