In this unit I learned about the different types of modals and their different uses such as expressing obligation, possibility, permission, ability, and advice. It is interesting to see how it is all broken down, as I use the kinds of modals everyday! I also learned about the different of a passive and active voice, and how the focus is taken away from the "doer" of the action in a passive voice. Lastly, I learned the different types of phrasal verbs, which I will definitely be doing more research/practice with as they are quite difficult to understand! I also took away some great teaching ideas and when to implement these skills.
