This unit explains the advantages and disadvantages of course materials and what teaching aids can be used especially during the Study phase in an ESA lesson. The samples provided in the chapter were very helpful and allowed me to think about how these materials can be used in the future planning of lessons. The separation of authentic and created material also how either can be used to promote learning and build language confidence for students.
