This unit was about coursebooks (are they really usefull) and lesson materials. So materials can be divided into authentic materials such as magazines, newspapers, etc. and created materials which are designed by the teacher. Course books of course has there advantages and disadvamtages. Course book is a tried and tested way to teach students, but the teacher can't focus only on course book, because sometimes it is predictable and doesn't always fit the specific needs of the students. So the teachers' job is omit unsuitable material and replace it with similar, but more appropriate. Also add extra matireal, etc.
