I appreciated the unit's emphasis on finding stimulating ways to engage students in writing and speaking activities. I also liked thinking about what elements are common to speech and writing lessons and which elements are different between the two. I also loved the ideas for games: I love games and can't wait to use them in my classroom. I am happy to have the resources, as well as the direction to consider the learning aim for the game, if it is cooperative or competitive, if it will produce more controlled language use or more free language use.
