I have learned the characteristics of what makes a good teacher, such as being patient, building rapport and involving all students equally. I have also learned the many roles of being a teacher including being the manager, model, observer and assessor and how each of these contribute to the students successes. There are many different levels such as beginner, intermediate and advanced when it comes to language skills and knowledge of the above all go hand in hand in helping each student reach the advanced level.
