Unit 15 looks at different ways of evaluating students' levels and their progress,as well as introducing some general external examinations such as TOEFL,IELTS ,KET,PET,FCE,CAE and ESOL .We can evaluate the students' language level using 3 ways : Toturials , evaluation by the students and Tests. A placement test is used to grade the students'lanuage level prior their commence in the Efl course ,Progress Tests are used periodically to gauge what language has been retained and what language has been forgotten .Diagnostic Tests are given at the start of the course to see what the students already know so that we can work on the areas of difficulty identified by the test , and at last Practice Test is usually used for preparation of external tests . In this unit,I have found the meaning of evaluating students more specifically ,as well as the ways of assessing my student's level.
