This unit helps define the different teaching techniques required to encourage students to engage in speaking and writing tasks in the classroom. The ESL layout of a class helped me clarify what elements of the class should come where as it is often too easy to jump to the study phase without fist engaging the students fully. It is extremely challenging when you have students in the class who are reluctant to speak in class and having a few more ideas of how to overcome this is very helpful.
