In this unit I learned about modal auxiliary verbs and the passive voice in details as well as the phrasal verbs and relative clauses . I also learned that modal auxiliary verb can be used to express different degree of formality. Modal verb don't change in form according to a person. Modal verb followed by a verb in its base form. There are just nine true modal auxiliary verbs, and semi modal auxiliary verbs. I learned about eleven main uses and how to use the Modal auxiliary verbs in a sentence. Here are just two that I learned.1.Ability: I can ride a bike. 2.Deduction: He's soaking wet, so it must be raining outside.3 Advice: You should see a doctor about that. I also learned about some of the problems both student and teachers can come across when teaching modal auxiliary verbs. I also learned how to change an active voice to a passive voice sentence. For eg. George Orwell wrote animal farm. This is Active. Animal farm was written by George Orwell. This is passive. I learned how to teach these in a lesson with a simple pair and matching game. When teaching this to students it's important to remember that the tense should not be changed.
