This section was really interesting, because although I have read or referenced the dictionary many times I have never paid any attention to the phonetic words or alphabet. Reading this was like a whole new language, and I immediately could see how applying this language can reap major benefits for students self learning. I also liked the way that it showed how the intonation of words within a sentence could change the entire context. As a native speaker we do this naturally, but it's something that students need to know.
