The tenses to be used for expressing ideas about the future are explained within this unit. The four common variations of the other tenses, simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous are used as well the going to future and certain uses of the present simple and present continuous. Each has its own structure and particular use. For example, a future continous tells of something in progression at a specific time in the future, while a future perfect continous sentence could be used to say how long that will have been happening by that time in the future. The correct use and understanding of each tense will allow for expression about the future in the english language.
