This chapter is about evaluation and testing, testing the performance of the students, if they are improving or not,
There are a number of ways to assess a student's language level:
1. Tutorials
2. Evaluation by the students
3. Tests
Tutorial: this is a small class of one, or only a few students, in which the teacher or other academic staff member gives individual attention to the students, discussing the aims of the lessons, how well the students performed the tasks, whether there are any problems, etc.
Evaluation of the students: it can be useful to ask the students to evaluate their course by means of a questionnaire or guided discussion. example, they can be asked whether they feel that they are getting enough
grammar.
Test: stimulation of student progress, used in a very helpful way to define the course objectives.
These tests may be every week, month, term, or after a certain amount of the course
book has been covered.
