This chapter gave clear indications that good foundations are imperative should we want to solidify what the students read, listen to and understand. I completely agree that it is better to cast a wide net of interest not just to catch the students' interest, but to help them find outlets where they can try out what they've learned in areas that they find to be most comfortable in. That what they learn can be utilized in other areas in their lives can affirm their learning and goes a long way when it comes to affirming their lessons outside of the classroom.
