In this unit I learned about the productive communication skills; writing and speaking. Since this is where the student has to express themselves it is important to take shyness and difficulties participating into consideration and work extra hard to create a lesson that makes the student feel comfortable. When teaching writing it can be tempting to rush because the lesson may seem "boring" or "slow" because of the nature of writing. However, the skill is equally as important as the others, and needs the same amount of focus. A well planned lesson will make even the writing heavy classes interesting and engaging.
