This unit is all about the different methodologies an ESL teacher can apply when teaching students. It also presented the strengths and weaknesses of each methodology which simply means that one methodology or technique is not really applicable to all students. The most important thing is to find a methodology that a is suitable for both the teacher and student. The unit suggested Engage, Study, and Activate (ESA) as one of the most effective teaching style and I couldn't agree more but it doesn't necessarily mean that the other methods are ineffective. It all boils down to how the student and the teacher adapts to a certain method.
