This unit focused on how to teach grammar, vocabulary, and the function of language to students using various ESA formats such as the boomerang or straight arrow methods. The function of language was a little short and hard to understand but it seems to be the equivalent of the structure of language and putting together grammar and vocabulary in proper sentences to convey whatever meaning you are wanting (ie formal or informal, polite, rude, etc).
