The two receptive skills are reading and listening, and in this course, I learned the different ways we read and receive information. That is then explained in terms of ESL, and the ways in which the teacher can make them accessible to the ESL student. We need to make sure that the lessons are created in a way that allows students to learn the vocabulary, how the language is used, and to put the language to work.
