This unit was all about teaching equipment and aides. The blackboard and dvd/video aides were a give in but the overhead projector benifits surprised me. It focuses students attention, is lighting permits in the room. You can reveal information step by step with a piece of paper while facing the students. The are perfect for displaying feedback as well timed readings, gap fill excercises. OHT's can be kept and used over and over which is great for saving time and resources. You can also show visual aids big enough and clear enough for everyone to see. Other teaching aides are on the way out like the CD player and cassette recorder. They are making way for more modern technology.
