Many students have a problem when it comes to their listening skills especially when listening to native speakers and this will really be a nightmare if the students have poor vocabulary. However, it is indeed important to focus on this also since having a poor listening skill and poor understanding of a context pose a problem and might be the reason for miscommunication. Teaching listening can be quite challenging since students should be exposed to different pronunciation of words as well as different accents. One thing more, it depends greatly on how the student adapts to the language itself and the effort of the student to remember vocabularies.
