This was a really short section, but it basically covered the various forms the past tenses of verbs can take, that is the past simple, past perfect, past continuous, and the past perfect continuous. Really, this was a repeat of the section on the present versions of these verbs, but... well, in the past. Pretty straightforward for a native English speaker, though it is possible to envision complications for a learner.
