The use of the course book is more flexible than I thought! As a teacher of English language, I have to study my students, know what applies to them in that stage of learning, be able to engage them effectively and make sure they are motivated to study the language through the material provided. I should not be afraid to explore my options and be creative for me to achieve this goal. It is okay to omit some material, replace and supplement it. I just have to make sure that while doing this, I should stay relevant to the objective of the lesson.
