The two classes were very different and this is based entirely on the teachers attitude. The first one the teacher was abrupt, confusing, and a bit mean. He used a lot of words like wrong and loser which put down the students. It was hard to watch. The students were having trouble understanding and were not participating like we saw it the second lesson. The teacher started out the second lesson by learning the students name and then using them throughout the class. This helped to engage the students and made him more likeable. He also smiled, joked, and didn't put down the students. He was all over much more likeable and the whole class atmosphere changed. He was also describing the activities before starting and speaking more clearly and slowerThe students were learning much more easily, they were smiling, participating, and seemed less confused. He didn't call anyone a loser and didn't mention if they were wrong about an answer, instead praised them if they were right.
