During this this unit I learned that not all students are at the same intellectual level and having this presumption will cause a deficit in a learners abilities. I learned that there should be a balance when it comes to my work as a teacher. I should be able to encourage each one of the students to step out of their comfort zone without intimidating them to do so, but working side by side with them through prompting. In as much as i would love to be involved in almost every activity in the classroom, it is important for me to step back, see what has been learned and observe application of the lesson while still being able to provide feedback and encouragement at the end of the day. I have also realized that much patience and kindness is needed for perfect synergy and a conducive learning atmosphere.
