I have learned many things in this unit about managing classes and how to inspire confidence amongst students. I have learned how to be a teacher who strikes a balance between being too domineering or leaving the students out on a limb, not knowing what to do. One must be adaptable and friendly.
These lessons of class organisation and discipline have been learned through things such as classroom seating arrangements, giving instructions, the tone of voice, eye contact, gesture, using students names, student grouping, writing on the board, talking time, and how to bestow attention on students.
