The importance of lesson plan to teachers is still undetermined since some teachers would deem it as really important while to some is unnecessary. Preparing lesson plan can help guide the teacher with the discussion flow so as not to be messy when presenting the topics. However, sometimes, teachers do not really follow their lesson plans and thus preparing a lesson plan is not helpful and would be just a waste of time. For me, preparing a lesson plan is not effective since I don't follow my lesson plan most of the time. I would rather read and be familiar with the topics I will be discussing because as a teacher, I have to be flexible especially since it is inevitable to discuss various topics when discussing one topic.
