I learned about Past Simple, Past Perfect, Past Continuous, and Past Perfect Continuous tenses. I learned how they were like Present Tenses and started to see a pattern. I still find them difficult because they are so terribly boring for me as a native English speaker to focus on. I have a real problem stilling my mind for some reason and concentrating on this grammar. I guess it is because I have always taken the English language for granted; I only find these rules mildly interesting in foreign languages.
