I have learnt that I can not do away with the formal testing scheme as it is a requirement for most language schools to assess the progress of the learners and the efficacy of the teacher to be a guide and instructor for such purposes. When it comes to placement tests, everyone is catered for. I have learnt to assess what level the student is at, and be able to lead them from that point to the appropriate language level so that the goal is reached in every way. I believe it is best to have continuous assessment every week so that i can track the progress and understanding of the students.
