In this unit we tackle common problems and situations found in the classroom. We begin by getting tips for first lessons, what to do and what not to do. We get some ideas for warmers in class, or how to start a lesson. Another area we look into is when we have students of different levels and what to do to help them. We also learn how to manage large classes and something we are going to find on a regular basis, the use of native language and how to avoid it. The unit ends with ways to handle reluctant students, how to get them to feel comfortable in class and start talking freely and finally finding trouble with listening texts and how to manage this.
