Unit thirteen was extremely informative. Many of the sections in this unit were very interesting and I found myself enjoying the readings. The section of stresses, intonation and the phonetic alphabet were extremely helpful. These sections allowed the reader to understand and observe the minute things that people don’t normally pay attention to.
While reading the unit I found myself considering my own speech patterns and pronunciation of certain sounds. I allowed me to see where I said sounds and words incorrectly. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the unit in Phonology.
