I found much of the information presented in this unit beneficial and informative. I’ve always focused on reading, writing and speaking, but didn’t realize the importance of listening (unless it was following directions and learning new vocabulary). Since spoken language isn’t written down and can’t be used to go over again to look for context clues, listening skills require students to be able to think quickly and deduce it’s meaning.
