Track-record with references, bachelor's degree and TEFL/TESOL certificate are minimum qualifications, along with a minimum CEFR equivalent score of TOEIC 850 for non-native English speakers.Native English Speaker (NES) Status or Fluency in English:The Thai government recognizes those who hold passports from The USA, Canada, The UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand as being a native speaker. If you hold a passport from any other nation you need to prove your fluency in English. It’s commonly assumed that if you are at least a B1 level speaker (as per CEF guidelines) you can legally teach in Thailand.
