In my current classroom, I have many ways I teach and interact with vocabulary. I like to have students out of their seats and moving around, a typical type of Engage strategy. I like the idea of having students bring in something meaningful to them, like their favorite book or movie, and then writing a summary about it. This would help students in multiple ways because they are practicing their writing skills, summary writing, and of course, grammatical structures. They would also have to use some re-reading and editing strategies when they have to go back and analyze the types of past tense verbs they used. I thought the suggested role-play game of inviting and rejecting the date would be really fun and I can see any kind of student (age appropriate) having a blast with a game like that.
