This unit covered the pros and cons of using coursebooks for teaching English to non-native speakers. Two types of source materials were covered: authentic materials and created materials. Authentic materials aren't typically graded and are more suited for fluent speakers or native English speakers. Created materials are assignments or speaking/reading exercises that are curated then graded by the teacher.
