This unit broke down parts of speech and provided examples. I learned to clarify transitive vs. intransitive verbs as well as special categories of preposition. Any lingering confusion I had regarding indefinite articles and their pairing with nouns was cleared by a review of vowels and consonants. I also grasped the difficulty of teaching the forms of irregular parts of speech to those with a different native language. This increased my empathy and patience as a future teacher.
