This review covered the basic elements of a sentence according to English grammar. It outlined the major parts such as verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs as well as articles, prepositions and conjunctions. It explained that a subject, or the doer, and the verb, or the action, make up the backbone of the sentence while other things such as prepositional phrases, object phrases, adjective phrases and adverbial phrases can give sentences more color. It also briefly covered a bit of morphology in explaining how verbs conjugate and nouns pluralize or verbialize and adverbializing adjectives.
