Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit covered four of the twelve tenses in the English Language. There are three main tenses: past, present, future. Unit 4 covered the four subcategories of present. I learned sentence structure for each tense, common usage, typical errors, and teaching suggestions. Having completed this unit I feel confident in my ability to instruct students in this topic. This section gave good examples to refer to and how to explain them to students. I think I now have a better idea of how I may explain to students the tenses and put them into practical explanations, and how to troubleshoot any confusions. The unit also gave me an idea of common errors students make and ideas to make them more understandable to a foreign student.
