150-hour Certification Course with Teaching Practice (CTP) with tutor support

Our 150-hour certificate course with teaching practice kicks off with an online section that includes full tutor support and the added bonus of 19 highly informative videos. Following on from the online training, you will complete six hours of in-class teaching practice. Once graduated, you will hold an online TEFL certificate that is internationally recognized and welcomed by employers in countries all over the world. One of the many benefits of this course is that the online study section can be completed at any pace that suits your individual circumstances and learning style. You will also be able to take advantage of our unique job support services for as long as you work in the TEFL field.

As soon as we have processed your application we will send you an email containing everything you need to access your personal online course control panel. By logging onto the system you will have instant access to all the relevant course materials which you can choose to study online or download to your personal computer, tablet or smartphone for later use.

Once you have worked through unit 1, you will take a short test to ensure you have absorbed the information. Each subsequent unit is also followed by a short test and once they are all complete you can move onto the teaching practice phase of the course which is undertaken at a location of your choosing.

The teaching practice section requires you to teach six lessons and then submit the necessary documentation for review. Upon a successful review of your lessons you will graduate from the course and receive your 150-hour CTP TEFL certificate.

Tutor Support

Our popular tutored course option includes unlimited access to an experienced teacher trainer for the duration of your studies. They will be on hand to answer any questions or deal with any issues you have at anytime throughout the course. Simply send them a message outlining your question and they will reply with detailed advice within one working day.

TEFL Course Aims

The aim of our 150-hour CTP TEFL course is to provide a thorough introduction to the world of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). Once you have worked through all sections of the course you should be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of the English grammar system, and have developed a range of skills and techniques that are essential to becoming a successful, productive teacher in the English language classroom.

TEFL Course Content

The 150-hour CTP TEFL course is split into two different sections. Section 1 contains a wide range of subjects related to the teaching skills that every teacher needs to be aware of, such as teaching theories and methodologies, classroom management, lesson planning, and testing and evaluation. This section also looks at language awareness which covers the English grammar system (parts of speech, the tense system etc), and other topics such as pronunciation and phonology.

For added convenience and clarity, the subjects are arranged into twenty separate units that have been carefully put together to ensure you will gradually build your understanding and not be overwhelmed with too much information. This unique design should allow you to work your way through the course materials at a pace that you find comfortable.

Section 2 is entirely focused on teaching practice. For this section you will need to arrange a minimum of six hours of teaching practice at any venue and time that suits you. Once the lessons are complete you will need to submit your teaching practice documents online for evaluation. You will be notified of your result within two working days. Please note that this course does not have a grading system and is rated simply as pass or fail.

The certificate awarded to graduates of this course shows that you have completed a 150-hour TEFL/TESOL certification course which also included at least six hours of supervised teaching practice.
