Online TEFL Certification Courses
Our online TEFL courses are completed entirely by distance learning and can be taken with the support of a personal online tutor or without tutor support.
Because the course is completed online, it does not include teaching practice nor does it include classroom time. You will however be asked to review actual TEFL lessons via either a simple internet download or a CD-ROM.
Our online TEFL courses have been developed and designed specifically for those who want to gain internationally accredited TEFL certification, but who don’t have the time and/or a budget to attend one of our training facilities in-person.
Besides affordability, with our online courses, you’re able to complete them at your own pace and from anywhere in the world—including the comfort of your own home.
Advanced diploma TEFL course
Our advanced diploma course is designed for practicing teachers who already have previously completed a TEFL certification course.
The diploma course will build on your existing skills and knowledge and provide you with more detailed and advanced knowledge that will further your performance and skills in the classroom. This includes further theories of methodology and language acquisition.
The course is in-depth and requires a lot of self study and research to fully answer the tasks given. For this reason a time frame which reflects the necessary work is given.
The course is conducted entirely through distance learning and so can be completed in your own time and at your own pace. You have the opportunity to take the course with the help and guidance of one of our experienced and dedicated personal tutors if you wish.
In-Class TEFL Certification Courses
Our in-class TEFL courses are completely classroom based and as such, require trainees to attend one of our four-week training facilities. While on the course you’ll have the opportunity to practice teaching English to real students who are learning the language.
These courses are intensive and challenging but we ensure enough time for relaxing and exploring your surroundings.
We offer more than two dozen course locations and they are all over the world. You can choose to take your TEFL course in locations such as Italy, Spain, Thailand, Japan, Egypt, Costa Rica, Buenos Aires, London, New York City and many, many more.
In-class TEFL certificates are suited for people who want to learn TEFL’s methodology, theory and practice, and who also want to gain priceless insights from observed teaching practice.
All observed teaching practice will be overseen by experienced trainers so you can be sure you’ll benefit from their years of experience through helpful advice, constructive feedback and general support.
Combined TEFL Certification Courses
Our combined TEFL courses are exactly as they sound and unite the best of the online course with the best of the in-class course.
While the principles and theory of TEFL are studied at your own pace online, you’ll complete your observed teaching practice at one of our combined course locations and finish the in-class component in less than two weeks.
These courses are designed for trainees who cannot attend in in-class course of the full four weeks but would like to gain from the observed teaching practice that the in-class course offers.
As the combined TEFL course requires less than two weeks of on-site training at one of our worldwide locations, it is more suitable for those on a tight schedule or budget.
The combined TEFL course includes all the components of an in-class course and therefore, you’ll receive a full TEFL certificate upon completion of the course.
Advanced/Specialized TEFL courses
We also offer a variety of specialized and more advanced level certificate courses for those who have already completed, or are studying for TEFL certification.
We offer two specialized certificates in TEFL: the Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners (CTEYL), or the Certificate in Teaching Business English (CTBE). These are both 50-hour online courses so no classroom attendance is required.
The highest TEFL qualification we offer is the TEFL diploma. It is a 250-hour, advanced level course that builds off of the theories and skills learned in the basic TEFL course.
This too is completed online and does not require classroom attendance. Please note: you must have already gained an internationally accredited TEFL certificate before being eligible for the TEFL diploma.
140-Hour DVD course
Our 140-hour online DVD course contains all of the materials from the regular online course but with the added bonus of having 12 DVDs to help and guide you through the course. Different learners have different methods of taking in information, and through our 12 professionally prepared DVDs the information given in our materials is presented in an engaging and visual way.
These DVDs will be of great use to you throughout the course in helping you complete your TEFL course. They also make up a useful portfolio of information you will be able to refer to throughout your TEFL career.
This further in-depth look at the TEFL materials can still be taken at your own pace, in an environment most suited to your successful learning. Along with the DVD component, you will also receive the guidance of one of our dedicated course tutors.
