Online TEFL Course Aims
Our 100 and 120-hour online TEFL courses give you a total introduction to the world of teaching English as a foreign language. Once you have graduated, you are guaranteed to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar and the teaching skills and techniques that you will need to successfully teach the English language.
Our 50 and 60-hour courses in teaching skills provide a solid but more basic introduction into EFL teaching.
Please note that many employers will insist on their teachers having a certificate of 100 hours or more.
Online TEFL Course content
With the 100 and 120-hour courses, we divide the course into a teaching skills component, which walks you through the skills necessary to develop for successful performance as a teacher in the classroom, and a language awareness component. This latter part ensures that you have a firm handle on English grammar.
Twenty modules have been painstakingly chosen to build your knowledge while not inundating you with information. In this way, you can move through the course at a pace comfortable for you.
The shorter 50 and 60-hour courses use the same materials as the longer courses but only include the 10 modules most relevant to teaching skills and classroom management. The language awareness modules aren't included with these 2 courses.

The design of the course lends you a great deal of flexibility. You have up to six months to complete all the modules, and within this time frame, you work at the pace you set.
You can have two modules sent to you per day, so if you are determined, you could complete the course in five to ten days, depending upon the course chosen. Please bear in mind that it takes approximately 5 hours to study each unit and for those with tutor support and additional hour to complete the task sheet at the end of the unit.
We recommend receiving no more than one module per day to give you time to effectively absorb the material and get the maximum benefit from your course. At this pace, you can complete the course quickly, whilst giving you time to thoroughly learn the material. But the choice is completely yours.
Post graduation TEFL employment counseling

Taking this course with Tutor support
Your personal online tutor will email you the online TEFL certification course modules (with the singular exception of the Lessons in Practice module, which can be downloaded or mailed to you on a CD-ROM).
After studying the material in each module, you complete a task sheet, which is also emailed to you, and return it to your tutor. You can then request that the next one or two modules be emailed to you along with the feedback from the previous module.
Once you have successfully completed all of the relevant course modules, we will provide you with your final grade, a letter of recommendation and a high quality TEFL certificate!

Taking this course without Tutor support
Modules are emailed to you (with the exception of the Lessons in Practice module which you can download or receive on a CD-ROM by mail).
Unlike the course with tutor support, this course is assessed by means of a final exam. When you have studied all the relevant modules you can download the final exam. Most people require approximately 6 hours to complete the exam, however it must be completed within a 24-hour time period.
Upon successful completion of the final exam you will be sent your final grade, a letter of recommendation and a high quality TEFL certificate!
