Online TEFL Diploma Course Content
We organize our course into 12 modules, as outlined below, and is accomplished via e-mail:

All the modules with the exception of the last require approximately 16 hours of study - 175 hours overall. The last module is a research based thesis, which generally requires 75 hours to finish. Expect to spend on the order of 250 hours, therefore, to complete the course.
Online TEFL Diploma Course Aims
Our Online TEFL Diploma course will give you a grasp of a wide range of teaching topics from material design to learning theories.
The research oriented element of the course can be completed with internet resources, though you may have to sometimes use additional reference works.
As you work through the course, your writing and research skills will improve. You will also develop a range of skills such as question development and essay structure that can be transferred to your professional endeavors.
Assessment with Tutor Support
The modular structure of our course removes the requirement of a final test, because your tutor will be grade you each step along the way. A task sheet will accompany each module, which you complete after studying the associated material. You return the task sheet to your tutor who will grade it and provide you with feedback. You may resubmit a task sheet three times. You will acquire your Online TEFL Diploma after successfully completing all the module task sheets and the thesis.
Assessment without Tutor Support
This option follows the same format as the course with tutor with the following exception. You will still receive the task sheet with each module, but will not submit them to a tutor. You can use them to monitor your own progress. The course is divided into two sections. Once you have completed the sixth module, you can download the test for that section. After successfully taking the test, you repeat the process for modules 7 - 11 and again take a test for the second section. A research thesis is required, just as in the "with tutor" option.
Online TEFL Diploma Course pre-requisites
To take this advanced level course you must:
- Have completed a TEFL or equivalent certificate course.
- Been a practicing teacher.
- Be able to finish all the course content and projects within a full year.
Online TEFL Diploma Course tutors
Your online course tutor will be one of our highest qualified and experienced teacher trainers, and he or she will be a practicing TEFL teacher with at least ten years of EFL teaching experience.
